  • Robinson Curley is proud to announce that attorney Robert L. Margolis was awarded the prestigious Thomas R. Leavens Award by Lawyers for the Creative Arts (LCA) for distinguished service to the arts through LCA on October 23, 2019. Rob’s receipt of the Leavens Award is the culmination of 31 years of pro bono service to the arts, through LCA, the New York Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and other charitable and legal aid organizations. Rob has served on the LCA Board since 2009, and continues to serve as Treasurer. Rob has immensely enjoyed his work with the LCA, saying “it’s a privilege to be able to do this work, and it’s just a great honor to be recognized here as a Leavens Award recipient.” Rob also notes that “from day one in my volunteer work for LCA, I noticed what many LCA volunteers have felt, namely the enriching experience of representing those in the arts. Our clients persevere with little hope of getting rich from their efforts. They do that because the end product is so inherently, well, good.” Robinson Curley congratulates Robt on both receiving the Leavens Award and his continued work in service to the arts with the LCA.
